Insurance & warranties

Fix connects a customer with an independent trade pro. Workmanship is covered by the pro’s insurance — not by a Fix execution policy.

Who is responsible for what?

  • Trade pro

Execution and damage during the job (professional liability). Permanent installation / construction works: ten-year cover when the law requires it.

  • Fix (platform)

Matching, price range, payment, tracking. Document checks on certificates before marketplace dispatch.

  • Customer

Pay via Fix to keep tracking and the commercial warranty shown. Technical claim → pro / their insurer; Fix runs the process.

Professional liability (always)

Every active marketplace pro must show valid liability cover matching their trade. No valid cover → not dispatchable.

Ten-year cover (if construction works)

Required for builders tied to the customer by a works contract (e.g. heating, roofing, heat pumps, integrated MVHR). Pure emergency call-outs usually need liability only. Certificate must appear on quotes / invoices.

What Fix is not

Fix is not the execution insurer. We never claim “insured by Fix” until a contingent / umbrella policy exists.

Transparency pledge

We show “vetted pro — liability checked”. We do not invent platform cover.
